Tell me about your educational background?
Mr. Merrill went to a private school then to a tech school then art school and now he's back in school again.

Where you a good student?
He said no not really.

What was your GPA?
He started with a 4.0 then went to 3.2 now it's at a 3.7 - 3.8.

When you were in school, did you ever think you would be doing this job?
He said no he didn't.

What is your degree or major in?
Masters of Experienced Educators

Do you think that your math classes or the concepts of math you where introduced to in school help you now in your job?
Yes

If you could go back in time, what would you do differently in school?
He said he would make sure the teachers were better.

Job Questions:

What are your current job responsibilities?
He said he subs for teachers, deals with computer problems and he does art.

How does math play a role in your responsibilities? What happens if you make an error in your calculations?
He helps the students with math and he buys things when the school needs them. He could lose a lot of money if he dont know math well.

Could someone with very poor math skills do you job?
He said most likely, because he was that someone at one point.

Do you think math plays an important part in almost all jobs?
Yes

Do you think students today realize how important good math skills are later in life?

He said it depends on the student.
